The Huracán maintains the 5.2 L naturally aspirated V10 engine from the Gallardo, tuned for 610 PS (449 kW; 602 hp). To ensure its balance and performance, the car is mid-engined. The V10 has both direct fuel injection and multi-point fuel injection. It combines the benefits of both of these systems; it is the first time this combination is used in a V10. To increase its efficiency the Huracán's engine also includes a start-stop system.

The Huracán's top speed is over 325 km/h (202 mph). It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.9 seconds. With a dry weight of 1,422 kg (3,135 lb), the Huracán has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.36 kg (5.20 lb) per horsepower. The Huracán has electronically controlled all-wheel drive, which aims to increase the traction on various surfaces and the overall performance of the car.

The car has a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, Lamborghini's new 'Doppia Frizione' (Dual Clutch) gearbox. The transmission performs differently depending on the mode the driver has selected. The Huracan will only be available with automatic transmission; manual will not be offered.
The Huracán also has a magnetically controlled suspension system. It utilises magnetorheological fluid to very quickly change how the suspension acts, ensuring performance as well as usability.

Lamborghini Aventador

The Lamborghini Aventador is a two-door, two-seater sports car publicly introduced by Lamborghini at the Geneva Motor Show on 28 February 2011, five months after its initial unveiling in Sant'Agata Bolognese Internally codenamed LB834, the Aventador was designed to replace the ten-year-old Murciélago as the new flagship model in the Lamborghini lineup starting in 2011. Soon after the Aventador unveiling, Lamborghini announced that it had already sold over 12 months of the production vehicles, with deliveries starting in the second half of 2011.

Its transmission, a single-clutch seven-speed semi-automatic, is built by Graziano Trasmissioni. Despite being single-clutch, gear-shifts are accomplished in 50 milliseconds.
The new, electronically controlled, all-wheel drive system is developed and supplied by the Swedish company Haldex Traction, offering traction and handling capabilities based on their 4th generation technology.
